LIGHT | SPACE | IMAGE

15-25 FEBRUARY 2024

Quality, 1b Marine Pde, Abbotsford

An image, presented as light, warps, bends, folds or blurs in relation to the surface(s) it is projected on. It slides from wall to wall, obstructed by a physical form, casting shadowy interruptions upon itself. An image is refracted, light waves are split in three - forming rainbows, inviting movement and play within the space.

The projected image creates an architectural membrane. It gives windows to walls which have none, imposes corners on flat surfaces and stretches two dimensions into three. A body interrupts this image when entering - a reminder of one’s physical presence and the embodied act of perception.
